Its difficult solubilize in water and release CO2 in acid.
Calcium Carbonate Properties:
White fine powder without smell and taste. Its relative density is 2.5-2.7, hardly insoluble in water and enthanol, but soluble in lower density acid. (acetic acid, lower density hydrochloric acid and nitric acid). It is difficult to solubilize in lower density vitriol.
Calcium Carbonate Application:
Calcium Carbonate is widely used as filling compound for various plastic, natural or synthetic rubber products, excess weld metal & paper making; Colorant for paint & dope, additive for household chemical, medicine & edible mushroom.
