AB-8 is a weakly polar adsorption resin, and the surface has some ester groups, and the hydrophilic property is improved, but the adsorption mechanism is still hydrophobic. The specific surface area and pore size of the resin are suitable for the adsorption of some kinds of traditional Chinese medicine, which has a certain hydrophobic nature, and the adsorption capacity is larger, the elution is easy, and the adsorption kinetic performance is good. The acid and alkali stability of heat, organic solvents and general use conditions are stable, so the service life is longer. On the protein, carbohydrate, inorganic acid, alkali, salt, small molecule hydrophilic organic matter are not adsorbed, and thus can be generally separated from the traditional Chinese medicine ingredients. The use performance of this resin is comparable to that of XAD-4 Amberlite.
It is most suitable for water solubility, has very weak material extraction, separation, purification, for example: adsorption of Ginkgo flavonoids extraction, extraction of natural pigments, stevioside, extraction of alkaloids is preferred etc.. The cephalosporin, ivermectin, clindamycin phosphate has good adsorption effect.
